Informed voting in Minnesota made simple!

The Star Tribune has a great little feature on their site that basically takes all the research fun (if you’re into that sort of thing) and guess work out of voting. It’s a midterm election and many voters are pretty…well, apathetic. They only know a few key names because of TV commercials and stories on the news. But a majority of Minnesotans have no idea that Michelle Bachmann won’t be on their ballot or that their current Congressman has been in congress for over 30 years and is bad for Minnesota, *coughJimOberstarcough* (I never claimed to be unbiased.) Well have no fear, MyVote makes it easy and also links you to the candidates profile so you can see who you’re voting for and where they stand on the issues.

The first thing you’re going to do is click this link: MyVote and it will bring you here:

Enter your information. Then you’ll end up here:

After pick your street from the drop down menu, MyVote will generate a ballot with all the candidates you can vote for in your district. Includes all races, not just the governor.

This is what a candidate’s profile will look like:

And don’t forget, on November 2nd….
